Xenophobia refers to an irrational fear or dislike of people from other countries or foreigners in general. One particular law or legislation to put a solution into such phobia is: Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act, 2000 (PEPUDA or the Equality Act).It is a legislation that can be found in South Africa where race, gender, sexuality, ethnic origin, among others are included. This law protects discrimination by the government, private, and public administrations that are found within this country. Some human rights violation that it protects people from are: 

a. The right to be provided with an opportunity to work in any setting regardless of race, sexuality, and ethnic origin. b. The right to be a part of a community.c. The right for acquiring basic needs such as food, water, and shelter.
