Lyrical analysis of Hamilton

Hamilton @ Himself

Alexander Hamilton
My name is Alexander Hamilton
And there’s a million things I haven’t done
But just you wait, just you wait

This is his first line in the song. Why is that important? Analyze the words he uses and consider the alternatives, such as Hamilton describing his history himself. What's the effect of having a third party handle the history for him? what do ethos, pathos and logos have to do with it? How is our perception of Hamilton deliberately crafted in this way?

Respuesta :

This is the beginning of the song this is the beginning of his story. You are watching this like you went back in time so he's telling you Just wait I didn't have my son yet or hold his hand when he died I didn't meet Eliza, I didn't help with the treasury but wait walk with me and see what I do.

These first four beautiful lines are showing the beginning of Hamilton.

He's kind of saying, "Here, let me show you my story."

His life was crazy and he was an ambitious man. He accomplished so much throughout his life and it is very interesting.
