HELP! 25 POINTS
Although the ideas behind the Dawes Act were not successful, they were meant to improve life for Native Americans. What went wrong? What adjustments would you have made to the plan to ensure its success?

Respuesta :

Well, with the Dawes Act, native Americans were separated and stripped of their land.
Only those who accepted it and allowed the others to do this to them could become US citizens.

But the thing that went wrong is that the people who wanted to enroll this onto them didn't bring their culture and family beings into consideration, therefore many Native Americans didn't want to going through with this just to become a member in the US.

A couple of adjustments that you could make from the plan is don't strip them of their land and give them more of a choice with becoming a US citizen. Entirely, the natives had their land taken, therefore with no land they couldn't survive, forcing them to become a US citizen to get their rights and land back, all together, proving unfair.
