Orly uses 2 cups of raisins for every 8 cups of trail mix she makes. How many cups of trail mix will she make if she uses 10 cups of raisins?

Orly would make 40 cups of trial mix.


Work: 2 x 5 = 10

so 8 x 5 = 40

She uses 2 cups for every 8 cups.  So multiply 2 x 5, and 8 x 5, and you will get the same ratio.  Or 10 cups of raisins to 40 cups of trail mix
