Slavery still does exist. Maybe not in United States, but it does exist in China, Africa, and other small countries. Child labor is a form of slavery where kids are forced to work with little to no pay, Forced Labor is a type of slavery where anyone is forced to do someone's bidding with no pay, Bonded Labor is a type of slavery where the victim is forced to work to repay their debt. Many other forms of slavery are also involved.
Slavery exists, but definitely not as much as it did in the 18-1900's. In the 1800's having slaves was considered common. The 13th-15th amendments and Civil War helped end slavery for good, but the most recent form it has taken is human trafficking. Human trafficking is illegal and not often found in America, but in other countries it may happen more often. In conclusion, there is still a form of slavery alive today, but it isn't as common or legal as it was from the 1800's.
Hope that helps!
