It is misleading Because the points on the X-axis are not all in the same unit. If you look at the x- axis, you will see it goes from 1991 to 1997. The years should be numbered the same units apart.

  • New clients (y-axis): 100, 200 and 300
  • Year (x-axis): 1990, 1991, 1993, 1997, 2003

Notice that the difference between the adjacent entries on the x-axis are not equal i.e. no constant interval
