To make a bar graph, you need two axes (for elementary school, not getting into calculus): and X (horizontal) and a Y (vertical).
Name the Y axis "Number of Children" and name the X axis "Kinds of Sports".
Then, across the side of the graph, put the numbers up to 8. Then put the sports on the bottom, labeling them as Soccer, Baseball, and Basketball. Now you draw a line from the Kind of Sport up to the Number of Children. It should look like the corner of a square ( |_ ) with bars in the middle. I hope this helps; if not, good luck.
