Animals living in hot and dry conditions. The large ears help to cool the body in extreme heat and the kidneys prevent unnecessary water loss in areas where water isn't prevalent. The nocturnal lifestyle allows the animal to forage/hunt at night when it is coolest so that it expends less energy and loses less water.
