  1)
  a.  The ratio of the areas of the triangle is 1 : 0.36
This is because when a scale factor is applied to a figure it affects the figure by multiplying it by the scale factor squared, and 3/5=0.6, 0.6^2 = 0.36, therefore the ratio is 1 : 0.36

The area of triangle ABC is 1600 inches squared. This is because the dilation will scale the pre-image area by multiplying it by the (scale factor) squared, so in order to find the area of the pre-image with the information of the image, you just divide the area by the scale factor squared. That would be 576/0.36 = 1600 inches squared

2)
 a. We can find the scale factor by dividing the length of the image by the length of the pre-image. This would be mZY/mRW = 7/0.5 = scale factor = 14.

 b. To find the length of VY, we just have to multiply the corresponding side length by the scale factor. VY's corresponding side length is SW, as they are both angle bisectors of similar triangles, and so we multiply 4 * 14 = 56.

 -  Sorry I have to go right now so I can't answer #3

the ratio is 1:0.36 and the area is 1600 inches
