An integer is a whole number, either positive or negative. What helps define an integer is if it can be divided into a whole number by another whole number (except 0).
For example, if we had these answer choices:
12, 103, 5, and 0.5.
Which would be the number that's NOT an integer?
The answer is 0.5, as it is not a whole number.
