The campaign began with a failed naval attack by British and French ships on the Dardanelles Straits in February-March 1915 and continued with a major landinvasion of the Gallipoli Peninsula on April 25, involving British and French troops as well as divisions of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC).

Battle of Gallipoli  also referred to as The Gallipoli Campaign of 1915-16, was an unfortunate trial by the Allied Powers to command the sea journey from Europe to Europe at the time of World War I. The Gallipoli campaign was an expensive breakdown for the Allies, with an expected 27,000 Anglo-Norman, and 115,000 British which was  murdered or wounded. Over half these fatalities (73,485) were British and Irish bands.
