Why do you think forensic science has been increasingly used by the criminal justice system?

Forensic science is a great way for criminal investigators to help complete cases. It can improve a cases probable cause. And help pin point a suspect. The study is now being taken by more criminal justice majors. For it helps later in a career. I think it is increasing in the criminal justice system because it is just so helpful.

Forensic science involves the application of the natural science to the analytical procedures used to identify the culprit. According to the Locard's Principle of Mutual Exchange every culprit leaves a trace when comes in contact with the crime scene or associated entities. These traces can be taken as evidences for proving the fact that crime has taken place and linking them to the culprit. Thus because of increase in diversity of physical evidences useful for conviction of criminal the use of forensic science is increasing in criminal justice system.
