For this problem, we see that the base equal 24 inches, but we do not have the height of this yet, so we need to find by using Pythagorean theorem, and I don't know that 5th grade learn that yet. (24/2)^2+b^2=37^2
144+b^2=1369
b^2=1369-144
b^2=1225
Square root this equation to get
b=35, and we know that the height will equal to 35 inches.
A=1/2×B×h
A=1/2×24×35
A=12×35
