The United Farm Workers of America is a labor union of farmworkers in the Unties States. It originated from the fusion of the Agricultural Workers Organizing Committee and the National Farm Workers Association. The organization was legally accepted in 1972.

Its major tool to raise awareness about the harsh working conditions that migrant workers went through was through strikes, as these actions resulted in a direct impact of related businesses and subsequently the final consumers of the product, which were the common American citizens.
