Yes because the American People at that time wanted to be more independent from the crown and the British response started a flame of anger in americans that led to the revolution .
Though the need to pay back the French and Indian war was a viable debt (though the war itself is debatable), by not allowing representation they therefore denied the colonies their rights. The taxes did restrict where they would get tea and other imports from, but people found a way around it, and if we were to say they were villains, we would be hypocrites. Nonetheless, it was not a wise decision on their part, and the colonies were practically itching for freedom, so because of seperation, the war was bound to happen.
