The hypothesis suggesting that menopause constitutes a value and assumes that older women increase their genetic interest and social networks by investing in their grandchildren. This was built from the “mother hypothesis” which is now termed as “grandmother hypothesis”. To put it simply, as mothers age, they invest their energy helping their offsprings in their reproductive efforts.
