Their points of view. Artists will go far to prove their points by using symbolism, poetry, all that good stuff. Like this for Example: you see an overly exaggerated crow in a small cage. The artist is conveying he/she is stuck in a boring life with a lot of rules (An edgy dude would make something like that). Something like that, I guess.
