During one particular week, the two cars went a combined total of 950 miles, for a total gas consumption of 50 gallons. How many gallons were consumed by each of the two cars that week?

X + Y = 50

Y = 50 - X
25*X + 15*(50 - X) = 950
25*X + 750 - 15*X = 950
10*X = 200
X = 20

Y = 50 - 20
Y = 30
