A pendulum has 573 J of potential energy at the highest point of its swing. How much kinetic energy will it have at the bottom of its swing?

VNRose
If we consider all energy losses due to bearing friction and aerodynamic resistance as negligible, then the energy from the maximum potential energy and the zero kinetic energy will be preserved.

Given this assumption, the energy of the pendulum at the highest point (maximum potential energy) and the lowest point (zero kinetic energy) is equal.

Therefore,the lowest point  = the highest point  = 573 J.
The answer is  573 J.
