The denominator that can be used in order to compare the ratios is that which
can be divided by both ratios. For example, we have 12 as a denominator. The
ratios can be expressed as 3/12 and 4/12. Also, the denominator can be 24 such
that the ratios can be expressed as 6/24 and 8/24.
