This was known as the Toxic Substances Control Act of 1976. With this Act, EPA has the authority to check and recheck import and export products for approval and rejection. It required continuous testing and screening to search for the acceptable and risky products. The control on products ensures the safety of people from the harmful chemicals the products might possess.
