Ectopic pregnancy happens when the fertilized egg attaches to the fallopian tube rather than the uterus. The causes may be that there is an infection of this tube that made the fertilized egg unable to continue its journey towards the uterus or that there are post surgeries in the pelvic area that can cause such attachment.
