But to answer your question, Elizabeth Eckford was part of the Little Rock nine and she was a young African American going into ingrate central high school, which is a all white school. the kids there called her name, spit on her, and treated her very badly. So I would imagine that she was feeling very scared for her life, and probably sad. she didn't know what to do. hope this helped!! :))
