Cashless transactions can reduce the crime rate and lower corruption. When people decide to rob a bank or store, they decide to run in there, threaten the owner/employee, and then require they hand the money over to them. However, if there was no money in the establishment, then there would not be a clear reason for breaking into a business. If society accepted cashless transactions, then there would be no cash for criminals to physically steal.

No:

Cashless transactions will not lower the crime rate or corruption in society. The criminals tactics and techniques of gaining undeserved wealth and riches are evolving. If there were a cashless society, it would be, or similar to, an electronic currency. However, as a reaction to computers and other technology, law enforcement must deal with cyber-criminals transferring the currency into their account from others. Even today, this is happening with credit cards, bitcoin vaults, and more cashless methods.
