It could be classified as an egoistic suicide. It is because egoistic suicide is where a person thinks of committing suicide or have done it is due to the fact that the person has no or less support from a group or from people in the society. It could be seen above as Jacob feels isolated and feels that no one cares for him in which this connects to the egoistic suicide.
