How are low ATP levels associated with cancer??

I know that cancer cells use anaerobic respiration which produces much less ATP but what happens to the body with the low levels of ATP? aren't the rest of the cells undergoing aerobic respiration getting plenty of ATP for the body or is their production of ATP suppressed or something

As you can tell I really need clarification here
