A jet fighter is coming in to land on an aircraft carrier, flying at a speed of 24 m/s. It comes to rest on the deck of the carrier in just 1.6 s. What was the acceleration the pilot felt during landing?

a=(24m/s-0m/s)/1.6s
a=24m/s/1.6s
a=15 m/s^2

The pilot felt an acceleration of 15 m/s^2
