After Susan B. Anthony tells the audience her crime, why does she quote from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution before going into detail about the crime?

Respuesta :

To add strength to the argument that denying women the right to vote is unjust

Susan B. Anthony quotes from the Declaration of Independence as evidence from respected sources. She hoped that it would somehow adds strength to her argument and allow her to explain why voting is every woman's right. She said that she merely wanted to exerce her right as a citizen and mentioned how the declaration talked about the people as "We, the people", not "We, the men".
