The most common decision making process when used in problem solving in small groups is referred to as reflective thinking method. This type of process of decision making, allows logical rationalization in problem solving with the use of defining the problem, analyzing or assessing the situation and trying to figure out what would be the solution to the problem that has been laid out.

The process of analyzing and making judgment based on past event can be referred to as reflective thinking. Reflective thinking is when an individual is deeply analyzing and thinking about current event, past event, or event experienced.    

As the case may be, reflective thinking deals with being aware of one’s knowledge, past experiences and assumptions. As individual continues to experience new situation or event, such individual reflective thinking continues to develop.  

Reflective thinking method is absolutely necessary for student to solve complex situations.

  4. Reflective thinking method will help student to grow emotionally, morally and cognitively.
  5. It helps individual to determine his/her strength by becoming more conscious of the situation around him by challenging assumptions, recognized favoritism, admitting or questioning the existence of truth and recognize an improvement where necessary.

When a small group decides to use a reflective thinking method to solve a problem it will give rooms for numerous intellectual decisions and a workable solutions.
