Environmentalism is a social movement dedicated to protecting the natural world through changes to environmentally damaging human activities; through the adoption of procedures of political, economic, and social organization that are thought to be essential for, or at least favorable to, the nonthreatening treatment of the environment by humans; and through a reconsideration of humanity’s relationship with nature. On the other hand, environmental science is an interdisciplinary academic field that assimilates physical, biological and information sciences(like biology, physics, chemistry, ecology, zoology, oceanology, mineralogy, limnology, soil science, geology, atmospheric science, and geodesy). In other words, it is an objective, unbiased pursuit of knowledge about the workings of the environment and our interactions with it.
