Check the picture of the proof Gina made.

All the steps are perfectly fine except that the coordinates of D and E are found by the Midpoint formula, not distance formula.

Remark:

The Distance formula is used to find the length of the segment formed between 2 points.

Whereas, the Midpoint formula is used to find the coordinates of the midpoint of a segment formed by 2 points.

Answer: c
