Uncle Tom was seen to be superhumanly religious and a kind hearted man no matter what struggles were presented to him. Uncle Tom is a slave yet is loyal to his fellow black slaves and his white masters, he helps them when they are hurting, he protects the slaves from their white masters when he can and he tries to spread his religion on the others.

Answer:

In the novel titled Uncle Tom's Cabin, written by Harriet Beecher Stowe, the author makes use of multiple literary techniques in order to characterize the main character, or the protagonist, of the novel, Uncle Tom. When Uncle Tom is first introduced to the reader, Stowe presents him sympathetically, allowing the reader to see his positive qualities of honesty, kindness, and dignity. He is shown to be a kind and sympathetic man despite the lack of plentiful riches to his name. Stowe also noted that Uncle Tom was a pacifict and Christian, and he was a very brave man because of what he went through as well. His experiences also led him to become the kind and loving man he is today, and this fact is reinforced by his rescuing Little Eva. Uncle Tom would be considered a tragic hero because he gives aid to others despite his own issues, which would include his lack of money and the fact that he got traded off as a slave, showing that he had more morals than the slave owners of that time despite how terribly he was treated by them.
