The vietnam veterans’ memorial is a national memorial in washington, D.C in which honors the united states members of the united states armed forces who battled in the vietnam war, service members who pass away in service in vietnam/southeast asia and those service members who are unaccounted for missing in accomplishment throughout the vietnam war. Its development and related issues have been the source of controversies which some of it has resulted in additions to the memorial complex. The memorial comprises of three distinct portions which are the vietnam veterans’ memorial wall, the three servicemen memorial and the vietnam women’s memorial.
