[tex] CaCl_{2} [/tex] dissolves in water to give [tex] Ca^{2+} [/tex] and [tex] Cl^{-} [/tex] ions according to the following reaction:
[tex] CaCl_{2} [/tex] --------> [tex] Ca^{2+} [/tex] + 2[tex] Cl^{-} [/tex]
So, according to the above reaction, 1 mole of [tex] CaCl_{2} [/tex] produce 2 moles of [tex] Cl^{-} [/tex] ion,
So, 0.3 mole will give = 0.3 x 2 = 0.6 moles of [tex] Cl^{-} [/tex] ion
So, Molar concentration = [tex]\frac{0.6moles}{1L} = 0.6[/tex]
Note: 1L = 1000mL
