This is exponential growth with an annual growthrate of 4.75% and an initial population of 370,000.

Future population =  (Initial population ) (1 + [growth rate])^(number of years)

Here we have:
        Future pop =     370,000 (1+0.0475)^8
                           =     370000(1.0475)^8 = 536332 (after rounding up to the nearest 1 person)
