The wild dogs will most likely eat the rabbits decreasing the population of rabbits in the environment. Leaving other animals that eat rabbits have a lost of food sources.

When a small number of wild dogs are preying on a population of rabbits in an ecosystem, it is just a matter of time before the population of the rabbits will be reduced significantly and this will lead to a loss of food source for other animals that are using rabbits as their food source. Wild dogs have the habits of killing animals, which they do not intend to eat, this is termed surplus killing and can quickly wipe out a population of animals that wild dogs are feeding on.

Also, there will be an increase in the number of smaller animals, which the rabbits were preying on if the number of rabbits were significantly reduced.
