One way is to write 11:16
We write the number of boys and number of girls in that order. Separate the values by a colon.
Another way is to write 11 to 16. It's basically the same idea as before, but we replace the colon with the word "to".
Lastly, we could write the ratio as a fraction form. That would be 11/16
