It was around noon when I was browsing for the latest Superman comic series. As I was just about to make my payment, there was a deafening explosion as the windows of the store rattled. Startled, I peered out the window to see a car engulfed in flames and a young man lying on the ground writhing in pain. Throwing the comic book back onto the shelf, I dashed out the door and ran towards the man. As I approached him, I could see severe burns streaking across his arms as he cried and rolled on the ground. A piece of metal had sliced a deep cut on the man's legs and was bleeding profusely. I quickly pulled him away from the car just as sparks bounced off the car. Then, a second explosion rocked the ground just as the car exploded. Debris was scattered across the whole road just as a few bystanders were staring in shock. Pulling out my phone, I speed dialed 911 and waited urgently for a dispatcher to pick up. I quickly took off my jacket and placed it on him to keep him warm and tied a piece of cloth around his leg to slow the bleeding. As I sat there for what seemed like eternity, the wail of an ambulance pierced the air as the red light illuminated the neighbourhood.
