I believe he wasn't loyal, he should have stuck up and been straight with his wife, for her own good. He should have had her go to her friend and tell exactly what happened. I think the money that went for her new dress was loyalty but working on the debt for years and agreeing to letting her lie was not loyal at all.

Answer:

Explanation:

I think that Monsieur Loisel is a great example of Loyalty, Ive never heard of a husband who do suchgreat things for his wife. He showed full support when she needed a dress and even when she needed jewlery, he waisted all his money for her to be happy. On the other hand, letting her lie and repayig the debt for 10 years wasnt loyal because if he was to tell her the truth and what she was getting herself into making her tell the truth that would have done them better. Being Loyal can go both ways.

If Monsieur Loisel would have been straight up and told her to tell the truth because he loves her and wants her to do the right thing, it wouldnt have got into this mess into the first place. Also because she ruined both their lifes and he never left her (because it was all her fault) is very loyal and he never complained.
