well first you would want to use you distributive property and make that 3x +3 over 6 = 2x -4 and then using inverse operations you'd get rid of 2x on both sides which would give you 1x (or x) +3 =-4 and then using inverse operations you'd subtract the 3 from both sides which would give you x=-1
