Arrive alive
Arrive alive is a programme designed by the government to address road accidents. It is a road safety campaign. The campaign is part of the Department of transportation project. Although, Arrive alive was rebranded and is operating under the name, 365 days of road safety programme. The importance of the project is to reduce the number of road accidenst and fatalities. The government through this project is also creating awareness to improve road user compliance with the traffic law.
Road Accident Fund
The road accident fund is a state issuer. It is established by stature. It gives insurance to drivers of motor vehicles in South Africa. The road accident provides compensation for medical expenses incurred from a motor accident. The fund also provides funeral expenses for death caused by accidents. It provides compensation for general damages such as pain and injury, although pain and injury in this case must be a serious one.
HIV /aids awareness campaign
The South African government created the HIV/AIDS awareness campaign to educate the young people on the need to have safer sex by using condoms. The government also canvasses for abstinence among the youth. The government also creates awareness by encouraging people that have HIV/AIDS to take their treatment very important and the people that are yet to know their status should get tested. The government also provided funds and set up different structures to address HIV/AIDS.
16 days of activism against women and children
South African Government Created this campaign to oppose violence against children and women. It objectives is to raise awareness on the negative impact that violence has in the life of women and children. The awareness is to enlighten the general public that the safety of children and woman is everyone's responsibility.
