Imagine last night you saw the star betelgeuse just starting to rise on your eastern horizon at 5:47 p. m. at 5:47 tonight, will betelgeuse be above, below, or exactly on your eastern horizon?
I will see Betelgeuse exactly on the Eastern horizon. Stars travel from East to West. Facing East, I won’t be able to see the actual movement of stars which is for the east, stars rise in front and set behind.
