Well, obviously, if you live in a developed nation you have a higher income, you spend more money, you can buy more things and more frequently. Developed nation citizens are by nature consumerists because that is the way you´ve been raised, it´s the basis of the capitalist society and structure, someone that lives in a developing country, like me, doesn´t have a lot of money so can´t buy and doesn´t need so many things.
