The Himalayas are the mountain range forms the Southern border of China and is also home to the
highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. It separates Indian sub-continent
from the Tibetan Plateau. This mountain range includes more than 50 peaks which
are higher than 7200 meters.
The name of the range is from a Sanskrit word which actually means "Abode
of Snow".
