D) “The Characters and
setting are introduced”.
The resolution of a narrative arc can be likened to the conclusion or ending of a story. The resolution of a narrative arc should leave the
reader with a sense of completeness regarding the narrative. Regardless of
whether the major conflict is resolved (it normally is), the resolution does
not seek to introduce new settings or characters, as they will not be
developed. Characters and settings should long have been introduced by the time
the narrative arc reaches its resolution.
