Rhetoric. Persuasion is not accurate as it does not assume that one is effective or artful. For instance, a child whines and whines and might persuade his parents to give him what he is whining for. There is overlap between rhetoric and persuasion. Rhetoric may use the techniques of persuasion. Manipulation is inaccurate as it assumes that one is using "control". Fact and opinion are just that "fact and opinion". Facts may or may not persuade. Opinion is subjective and while it can be used to persuade, it is just that an opinion.
