Hence, she need to buy 7/2 meter length of cloth to make 2 square flags.

Let the side of the square flag be x meter.

Now the area of one square flag is: x² square meter.

Since he has to make two square flags this means that the area of two square flag is: 2x² square meter.

Also, Area of two square flag = Total area of cloth.

As one side of cloth is 7 meter and the other is x meter.

Hence, the area of cloth so used is: 7x square meter.

Hence, we get:

2x²= 7x

⇒ 2x²-7x=0

⇒ (2x-7)x=0

⇒ either x=0 or 2x-7=0

⇒ x=7/2

Hence, the least amount of fabric she should buy is:

7/2 meter in length
