Melanoma arises from pigment-producing
melanocytes and is the deadliest form of skin cancer if it spreads. It develops
from an unblemished skin or a mole. It grows rapidly and can metastasize. Its treatment is
difficult and can go into diminution for a number of years before it reemerges.
