Some motion pictures are profitable and others are not. understandably, the movie industry would like to know what makes a movie successful. data from 120 first-run movies released in 2005 suggest that longer movies actually make less profit.

It made sense that longer movies make less profit because moviegoers are also conscious about the running time of the movie. Most of the lengthy movies although big productions attract less couch potato because the plot becomes boring and dragging. And the most obvious reason is it eats up a lot of time just to watch the movie, in short, time-consuming.
