The era that spanned from 1450 to 1750 CE is the Early Modern Era. This period marks the end of the Middle Ages and signals the transition to modernity. 

The Early Modern Era is described as a time of exploration, colonization, and modernization. During this time, interaction between civilizations increased. 
Some of the events that took place in this period are the following:

- promulgation of the European culture in non-Western territories
- end of the Hundred Years War- fall of Byzantium to the Ottoman Turks
- Rennaisance or the revival of learning in Europe
- Reinforcement of monarchies
- Rise of gunpowder
